Biography

Hi, I’m greg, an educator and musician staying in Wilkinsburg, Pa. I started music on trombone, learning western classical, big band, and marching band, then began studying percussion, singing, and dancing with the University of Pittsburgh African Ensemble. After college, I helped form the Salsa-Fusion group Machete Kisumontao. While living in the Pittsburgh region, I’ve worked on several projects, writing and performing with the indie-rock band Strange Cocktail, gigging with the roots groups Truth and Rites and The Pressure, and composing the original score for a documentary about coal ash pollution. I currently study bass guitar, finger-style American and Irish Traditional guitar, keyboard, electronic music, voice, jazz theory, lead guitar, songwriting, publishing, and production. Music has always been a passion. In March of 2020 I decided to start developing music as a career by producing original works independently, supporting artists throughout the production process, performing online or in-person, and teaching students of all ages. I’m excited to share this joyful gift with you! Send me an email about collaboration, lessons, or anything else
